Thanks again Ricky. In Feb we had an ongoing narc case in which we ended up in a chase on ice covered roads, did a few spin outs and after he caught the guy Cheeto and I started to search for the drugs from his vehicle and another on of your dogs started seraching from where he was caught. It did not take long to find the 2 Kilos he hid deep down in a dumpster in his flight path. As part of the case we took over 18 people in custody, 19 plus vehicles, over 5 kilos, 90Gs in cash and all of the parties are talking and there is more to come. If it was not for your dogs we would not have the 1st kilos to spur the case on. The DEA says thanks. :grin

Im a Police Officer in the Philippines and was a recipient of the Anti Terrorist Assistance Program of the US State Dept where I had my training on Explosive Detector Dog Instructors Course at ACLEOTC in 1988. It was during that year that the use of dogs in the Philippines became so important in securing the Presidential Palace, airports and other gov't facilities. The 1st batch of dogs that were trained at ACLEOTC had performed well and did a lot of accomplishments before they all ratired. In 1996, I went back to ACLEOTC to get 20 Explosive Detector Dogs in preparation for APEC where several heads of states would be coming to the Philippines.I was impressed by how Ricky trained these dogs despite of the time pressure. He showed his concern to deliver them in excellent form and condition. He personally trained the handlers in the Philippines and devoted a lot of time ensuring that the handlers and their dogs were fullly trained and ready for detection work.In 1999, I was again at ACLEOTC to get dogs but at that time I would be getting Narcotic Detector Dogs for our government's campaign against illegal drugs. In the Philippines, although there are other agencies that have detection dogs, those handlers and dogs trained by ACLEOTC are the ones most respected when it comes to reliability and effetiveness. Its the prohibitive cost of procuring dogs from reliable sources that makes other agencies rely on suppliers that provide detection dogs which give the public a false sense of security.

I am simple ex-handler and now a Police Chief that certifies and instructs canines in Idaho. I met Ricky approx. 5 years ago. While working with Ricky he has helped me with trianing techniques and how to instruct canine handlers. Working over the past several years with Ricky I have improved as a handler, instructor and a motivator to the students I teach. Ricky also helped me become one of the most profeciesnmt tracking dog team in the northwest and we have caught a lot of bad guys. Ricky helped me and my K-9 Baron win several awards, such as 2005 Idaho Top Dog and win two Gold Medals at the Police Can-Am Games. Long story short you will not be sorry for going to Ricky for your K-9s. Ricky stands behind his dogs and has the passion that many lack in this profession. Ex-Handler Chief Keith Hutcheson

Ricky,
The website is great. I have know Ricky for three years now and the education he has given me is outstanding even though I only see him once a year. If he can do that well once a year I would recommend any of his classes to anyone.

I am a retired canine handler and I moved to Alabama where I became a trainer with Ricky from January 2000 until May of 2003 when I moved to Florida.
I have seen other methods of dog training and by far Ricky has one of the best curriculums that you could send an officer thru. Your officer comes out of class very knowledgeble about dogs and the handling of dogs. Each dog is a direct reflection on him and he will only send out a quality product. Ricky's course is not easy in the classroom or field but is necessary for a quality team.
I can't say enough about the quality of dogs Ricky sends out, his straight forward approach, and the love he has for his dogs.
I know when I worked there and still today our reward was to hear back from the students about their narcotic, explosive or crimianl apprehensions that they made with their partners.
If your department wants a dog that will do the work and make your department proud I suggest you purchase your dog from A.C.L.E.O.T.C..
I have nothing but high regards for Ricky and the job he does.

Hope to come back up and assist you again this Fall.

ACLECTC is a tested and found to be the best all around school for canine instruction. Ricky Farly is a incredible wealth of knowledge. I have been a explosive detection canine handler for 8yrs now and have the comfort of knowing I have been taught by the best. I have also handled narcotics detector dogs on a limited bases, and Mr. Farly was there to get me to where i needed to be to do the job. There is no question for this handler which school is the best for a real canine education. Ricky Farly is a great instructor who cares about his product that he puts out. His knowledge on canine's is second nature and not jsut from a book reading stand point. He is well versed in all the latest and knows what works and what doesn't. He is open to new ideas and shares with his student. I just can't say enough about the wonderful product this school puts out. Well done Ricky Farly. :grin
